Send Me to School Ideas

Hi guys,
I am doing a fundraising program this year called Send Me to School run by Misfit Foundation. The last time I did a fundraising program, I was 7 and I had lots of contacts from my old school and help from Dad who was doing it with me. This time, we are embracing the challenge with my brother and Mum which will hopefully make it a bit easier.

Once again, we are needing Ideas to fuel the fundraising and we wondered if you could help us. You could do this by sending money, if you are a friend of Dad’s or simply listing an idea we might be able to use. Both are greatly appreciated and you might get metioned in the blog as a shout-out. Here are some ideas Dad and I have already come up with:

  • I could do a Virtual Movie Night on Adobe Connect and Skype, with some friends from Distance Ed and with help from the teachers themselves
  • Dad can use social media to ask for money
  • I could ask for help on Edmodo, Distance Ed’s kind of Facebook

That’s pretty much it and as you can see we are in desperate need of ideas. Whether it’s used or it’s not, we’ll definitely thank you for your ideas. It’s the thought that counts! Also, if you are on Edmodo and read this, just write a comment maybe suggesting an idea on my post in Edmodo. Thanks! 🙂

    • I'm glad things have been sorted out with your Dad, that must be a relief. I am also in all kinds of love with this outfit. Hotpants! Knitted hat! Boots! Wraps! Mustard! So much awesome.

    • Hello – I must say, I’m impressed with your site. I had no trouble navigating through all the tabs and information was very easy to access. I found what I wanted in no time at all. Pretty awesome. Would appreciate it if you add forums or something, it would be a perfect way for your clients to interact. Great job

One of my friends was raising awareness for autisum. She did ‘ guess how many lollies are in the jar’ and carried it around while doing an ‘ Autisum Walk ‘. For the lolly jar she said to everyone ” 20c for 1 guess or $1:00 for 6 guesses,”. Maybe you could do something like that. This might sound ridiculous but you could do a stall type thing. You could do a Mothers Day gift stall where little kids could make something for their mums for Mothers Day coming up. You could get them to decorate ‘Marie’ biscuits or something. It should just be something easy like that. Those are just some ideas I could think of. Love your idea and hope it all goes well.
