Ideas For The Windmill

Hi my name is Indrani. I’m 7 years old.

My Dad and I are going to raise $500 for a windmill in Kenya in  Africa.

Here are some ideas that we’ve been thinking up on how to raise some money for it.

  • Movie Night
  • Garage Sale
  • Maybe a Mufti Day At School
  • Selling Harry Potter Birthday Supplies

Thumbs up! You seem like an awesome kid, and given what I know of your Dad, are going to do some serious good. I’ll be looking forward to it.

    Hey Indrani,
That’s a great idea to raise money for a very good cause, You can plan to do a walk through your neighbourhood, dress up in a funny costume get some of your school friends to join you. Let everyone in the area know what you plan to do in advance. Then on the day carry a bucket each and collect money as you go, knock on doors and ask everyone in the street.

The more people that know about your event the more chance of meeting your target of 500 dollars.

    Hi Indrani!

What a great project! I am going to share it with my son Joshua (who is 8) and my daughter Angela (who is 5). You might just inspire them to do something similar!

What a great thing to raise money for, Indrani! You’re awesome. I really like the garage sale and mufti day ideas. The fundraising walk sounds good too, especially if you dress up in funny clothes 😉

Make sure you tell your school about what you’re doing, and tell the local council and local papers too – once word gets out, I reckon you’ll make enough money for more than one windmill!

    Lots of love,
    Lea & Lee (& Chloe & Ben)

I’m sure to tell school and the local council and the local papers.
